Green Day is a popular American rock band formed in the eastern region of California by its lead vocalist and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong.

Green Day was established in 1987 with support coming from its bassist and backing vocalist Mike Dirnt and drummer John Kiffmeyer who was replaced in 1990 by Tré Cool the band’s current drummer.
The band which is also known as Sweet Children has seen the likes of other participating members like Jason White, a touring guitarist who became a full-time member in 2012 until 2016 when he returned to the status quo.

Green Day has over the years sold over 75 million records worldwide with twenty Grammy nominations of which they bagged five.
They have been on the record labels; Reprise Records, Lookout! Records, Epitaph Records, Warner Records, Adeline Records, Warner Music Sweden, and Skene! Records.
