Accra Great Olympics will compete in the Ghana Division One League next season after failing to retain their status in the Ghana Premier League.

On Sunday, June 16, 2024, Accra Great Olympics briefly enjoyed a moment of relief when Real Tamale United, already relegated, did not show up for their final match against the Accra-based side.

This default resulted in a forfeit, awarding maximum points to Accra Great Olympics and temporarily lifting them above the relegation zone.

However, the celebrations were short-lived as other results did not go in their favour.

Heart of Lions secured a crucial 2-2 draw, ensuring their survival, while Karela United shocked Medeama with a narrow victory, propelling them to 12th place on the table.

Despite accumulating 44 points, Accra Great Olympics were ultimately demoted alongside Real Tamale United and Boafoakwa Tano.

Accra Hearts of Oak narrowly escaped relegation with a tight win over Bechem United.
