Sam Bennett is an amateur golfer who won the U.S. Amateur championship in 2022, and is currently attending Texas A&M.

Born on December 21, 1999, in Texas, Bennett began playing golf in Madisonville, where he had his High School education and won the 2017 state golf championship.

In 2018, he began playing at Texas A&M, and earned All-American honors as a junior.

In 2021, Bennett went ahead to represent the American team at the 2021 Arnold Palmer Cup.

In addition, his first PGA Tour event was during the Valero Texas Open in 2021, and the following year he played in the Arnold Palmer Invitational for the second time.

In 2022, he was awarded SEC Player of the Year and won the U.S. Amateur championship, which earned him exemptions into the 2023 Masters and 2023 Open Championship.
