Lamptey, who started as a substitute, joined the action in the second half after his teammate Joel Veltman scored the opening goal but later suffered an injury.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw, with Lamptey expressing gratitude for reaching the century mark with Brighton on social media.

The 23-year-old began his career at Chelsea’s academy but moved to Brighton in 2020 seeking more playing time.

Despite facing injuries this season, Lamptey has made 23 appearances and provided four assists for his team.

His contributions have been crucial to Brighton’s recent successes, including qualification for the UEFA Europa League and a run to the FA Cup semi-finals last season.

Although he missed representing Ghana at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations due to injury, Lamptey is poised for a return to international duty in the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mali and the Central African Republic.

His journey from Chelsea’s academy to becoming a key player for Brighton highlights his determination and talent in the world of football.
