Daniel Appiah, a senior resource manager and engineer from Ghana, is set to break the Guinness World Record for the longest continuous speech by an individual. Appiah’s ambitious attempt will commence on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at the World Trade Centre in Accra.

The current record stands at 90 hours and 2 minutes, held by Ananta Ram KC from Nepal. Appiah aims to surpass this by delivering his speech for an impressive 100 hours, 10 minutes, and 10 seconds.

Speaking at a press conference at the Silver Star building in Accra, Appiah shared his motivation for the record attempt, stating, “This is to motivate and inspire the youth.” He emphasized the importance of setting high goals and striving to achieve them, using his endeavor as a testament to perseverance and dedication.

David Appiah will join a growing list of ambitious Ghanaians who have sought to make their mark in the Guinness World Records. This list includes Afua Asantewaa, Chef Faila, Chef Smith, and the latest record holder, one-year-old Ace Liam, who holds the title for the Youngest Male Artist.
