This settlement follows the termination of a contract under which West Blue provided technical and support services to the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) from 2015 to 2020. The contract was facilitated by the Ministry of Finance.

West Blue Consulting had initially sought GH¢289 million from the government, claiming an outstanding debt due to the contract’s termination. The dispute was resolved with the court awarding GH¢95 million to the firm.

Julie Essiam, Commissioner-General of the GRA, confirmed the court’s decision during a public accounts committee meeting.

She stated, “Indeed, the judgment debt is GH¢95 million. We will not be able to pay the full amount immediately, and therefore, the agreement with the court is to make the payment in three installments.”
