In the first half, Robert Andrich’s long-range shot seemed promising, but it was disallowed due to a foul. Switzerland capitalized on Germany’s defensive lapses, with Dan Ndoye converting a cross from Remo Freuler to take the lead.

The second half saw Germany persistently attacking, but they couldn’t breach Switzerland’s defense. Just when it looked like Germany might slip, Niclas Füllkrug came to the rescue.

His late goal, courtesy of a David Raum cross, secured the draw and ensured Germany’s top spot in the group with seven points. Next up, Germany faces the second-place team from Group C in Dortmund on Saturday.
