Georgette Liying Chendana Chen was a Singaporean painter and designer who is known to be one of the originators of contemporary Singaporean art and Nanyang style arts. Georgette was initially called Chang Li Ying and she was born on October 23, 1906, and she passed away on March 15, 1993, at the age of 86.

Georgette Chen contributed massively to painting and arts, as many know her for her great oil paintings. Georgette Chen served as a teacher at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts from 1954 to 1981.
In 1993, Georgette Chen passed away after several years of suffering from rheumatoid arthritis.
