Gene Freidman Cause Of Death

Evgeny Alender Freidman, known as Gene Freidman, was a Russian-American businessman who formerly owned a large taxi fleet in New York City, Taxi Club Management.

A disbarred attorney, he was dubbed the “Taxi King” or “Kingpin.” He was a convicted felon and faced repeated criminal and civil legal issues.

The flamboyant Russia-born businessman was found unconscious by one of his children last week and lingered in a coma until Sunday, according to sources. he was pronounced dead on October 24, 2021. He was 50.

Friedman died in a Manhattan hospital, apparently from complications of a heart attack. This story was confirmed by the Riverside Memorial Chapel funeral home.

Friedman still owed nearly $19 million in back taxes at the time of his death, making him New York’s top delinquent taxpayer, according to the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance.
