“Game of Thrones” stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, who are also couples in real life, have been shot in Edmonton, the capital of Canada’s Alberta province, in a shooting spree at Lexmar Hotel where the two arrived to check in.

The incident happened in the wee hours of Friday morning.

Eyewitnesses say Kit Harington, who plays the role of Jon Snow in ‘Game of Thrones’ died at the spot while his wife Rose Leslie, who also plays Ygritte, sustained life-threatening wounds.

Two other people who are yet to be identified were also killed on the spot.

The victims have since been rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Edmonton.

The Edmonton Police is yet to release an official statement on the incident.

The HBO series team has confirmed the incident to the media and said their visit to Canada was in relation to ‘Game of Thrones 8’ and that they arrived in the country late Thursday.
