Funke Akindele Excited As Omo Ghetto Becomes ‘Nollywood Movie Of All Time’

Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele has expressed her excitement as her movie, Omo Ghetto: The Saga has broken the Nollywood’s box office record.

The Cinema Exhibitors of Nigeria(CEAN) announced that the movie has broken Nollywood’s box office record with revenue of N501, 449, 050 after securing the topmost position for 6 weeks in a row.

Celebrating this on her social media page, she shared a flier of the movie and attached the caption, “woe this is huge!! Pls keep swiping to see all achievements. Congratulations to FUNKE AKINDELE, JJC SKILLZ and the entire cast and crew of #omoghettothesaga UNA DO WELL”.

Omo Ghetto: The Saga is a 2020 Nigerian gangster comedy film co-directed by Funke Akindele and JJC Skillz. The film stars Funke Akindele, Chioma Akpotha, Nancy Isime and Eniola Badmus. The movie has its theatrical release on Christmas day, December 25, 2020. The became a box office success and surpassed the Fate of Alakada as the highest-grossing Nigerian film for the year 2020.
