McReight made his international debut against New Zealand in the second round of the 2020 Tri Nations Series (a restructured Rugby Championship owing to COVID-19) after Harry Wilson (rugby union) was substituted off in the 67th minute of the game, which the Wallabies defeated 43 to 5.
In the opening round of the 2021/22 Rugby Championship, McReight scored his maiden test try against Argentina.
