Peters, who gained notoriety among election deniers, was convicted of attempting to influence a public servant, conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation, official misconduct, and other related charges.

The case centered on Peters using someone else’s security badge to grant access to the Mesa County election system to an expert affiliated with My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell.

This expert was involved in promoting unfounded claims of election fraud. Peters was also accused of misleading officials about the expert’s identity.
While Peters was acquitted of some charges, including identity theft and certain conspiracy counts, she faces sentencing on October 3, 2024.
Following the verdict, Peters claimed that Dominion Voting Systems and state election officials stole votes, asserting she will continue to fight for what she believes to be the truth.
