Folorunsho Alakija is a Nigerian American businesswoman and chancellor of the Osun State University in Nigeria. She was born in Lagos State on July 15, 1951, which makes her 69 years as of January 2021. Folorunsho Alakija began her education at Our Ladies of Apostles in Lagos and relocated to the United Kingdom in 1958 when she was just seven to continue her education.

Folorunsho Alakija continued at her primary education at Dinorben School for Girls in Hafodunos Hall in Llangernyw, Wales. After graduation, she returned to Nigeria for her secondary education Muslim High School’ in Sagamu, Ogun State and moved to the United Kingdom again for a professional certificate at Pitman’s Central College, London. She owns Rose of Sharon House of Fashion, in Nigeria and through her tremendous achievement in the fashion business, she became the national president and lifelong trustee of the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria.
