Flávia Saraiva, the senior international elite artistic gymnast hailing from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has left an indelible mark on the world of gymnastics. Her journey began at Flamengo, one of Brazil’s premier gymnastic clubs, under the guidance of head coach Francisco Porath Neto and assistant coach Juliana Fajardo.

Saraiva’s prowess was evident from her early days, with an impressive 10th place finish in the all-around competition at the Houston National Invitational.

Her senior international debut at the FIG World Challenge Cup in São Paulo was equally remarkable, where she triumphed in the floor exercise and secured silver on the balance beam.

Representing Brazil at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics, 2016 Summer Olympics, and 2020 Summer Olympics, Saraiva consistently displayed dedication and skill. Notably, her performance in the 2020 Olympics balance beam event final earned her a commendable 7th place.

Beyond the Olympics, Saraiva contributed significantly to Brazil’s success, aiding in gold at the 2018 South American Games and bronze at the 2015 and 2019 Pan American Games.

She also clinched titles such as the 2014 Summer Youth Olympic floor exercise champion and numerous medals in Pan American Games, South American Games, and Pan American Championships.

In 2022, Saraiva continued her winning streak, securing gold in the team final at the 2022 Pan American Championships alongside gymnastics sensation Rebeca Andrade and others. She further solidified her superstar status by winning gold in the all-around final.
