The eight actors who eventually became known as the G8 were banned for charging unreasonably high amount of money to play roles and sometimes for showing gross disrespect to directors and Nollywood movie producers.

The eight actors included; Omotola Jalade Ekeinde,  Richard Mofe Damijo, Genevieve Nnaji, Emeka Ike, Ramsey Nouah, Nkem Owoh ,Stela Damasus and Jim Iyke.
