Firerose, the ex-wife of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, has spoken out about their troubled relationship. In an interview with Page Six, the 36-year-old singer shared upsetting details about her time with Cyrus.

Firerose said Cyrus, who is 62, had very strict rules for her when they were together. She claims he yelled at her a lot and made her feel trapped in their Tennessee home.
Firerose called Cyrus an “evil man” and said he abused her during their two-year relationship and seven-month marriage. She says Cyrus kept her away from friends and family and tried to control her life.
Firerose wasn’t allowed to have a car. She could only go to the chiropractor and get her nails done once a month. The Australian singer, whose real name is Johanna Rose Hodges, felt so isolated that she couldn’t find the courage to leave.

She says her friends and family weren’t allowed to visit her at home. Firerose claims she had to read her texts and emails to Cyrus before sending them.
Cyrus has denied these claims in court papers. He says Firerose is lying and just wants his money. Firerose also talked about how Cyrus left her on the day she was supposed to have an important surgery.
She says the stress from their relationship was so bad that she passed out two days before their wedding. Firerose claims Cyrus would sometimes not talk to her for days, which made her afraid to speak up.
She also says their relationship started while Cyrus was still married to Tish Cyrus, but she didn’t know this at the time.
Firerose admits she wrote a note saying sorry to Cyrus, but explains that abused people often still love their abusers.
She’s worried Cyrus will use her past struggles against her in their divorce case. Firerose ended by calling Cyrus an “evil man” again, showing how bitter their split has become.
