Despite being the lead actress in the series, Gloria revealed that some movie producers sidelined her because they perceived her as unable to express herself in English.
In an interview, Gloria shared her frustration, stating that she was often overlooked for certain roles and promotional opportunities because of this perception.
She recounted how she used to worry about being typecast as a “local actress” solely because of her involvement in “Efiewura.”
However, Gloria emphasized that her proficiency in speaking Twi, a Ghanaian language, was actually what earned her recognition and awards, including the Best Supporting Actress award at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards in 2020.

She expressed gratitude to filmmaker Shirley Frimpong Manso for believing in her talent and casting her in the movie “Perfect Picture,” despite concerns about her association with “Efiewura.”
While Gloria acknowledges the importance of being recognized for her consistent roles, she finds the negative stereotypes associated with it disheartening.
Despite the challenges, she remains determined to pursue her passion for acting and break through such limitations.
