The upcoming film “Orange Bowl,” directed by the renowned Nigerian cinematographer Chukwuka Edeogu, also known as Fedworks, has released its trailer. The film, marking Fedworks’ first venture into directing, stars actress Funke Williams in the lead role.

The trailer gives us a glimpse into the life of Williams’ character, who is seen in distress, crying out in pain and shedding tears. It hints at a hard-hitting narrative about rape victims and the long-lasting impact of such traumatic experiences on their lives.

Fedworks shared his thoughts on Instagram, expressing that working on “Orange Bowl” has been a personal journey for him. He emphasized that the film is an effort to tell important stories while also appreciating the art of filmmaking. He made this announcement on Monday, June 3, 2024.
The film is a collaborative effort, co-produced by Abisola Yussuf and Ifeoluwa Fatogun. The cast also includes George Victor and Zeph Obayangbon.
Fedworks is a significant figure in the Nigerian music industry, having directed several popular music videos. His portfolio includes “IDK” by Wizkid, “Emiliana” by CKay, “Sability” by Ayra Starr, and “Charm” by Rema. He has also expanded his work to include TV commercials and documentaries.
Funke Williams, the lead actress in “Orange Bowl,” is known for her role in the 2023 crime thriller “Gangs of Lagos.” The film tells the story of a group of friends navigating crime and gang violence in the bustling streets of Isale Eko, Lagos.
