Fatau Dauda Credits AFCON 2008 Earnings for Building His House

Former Ghanaian goalkeeper Fatau Dauda recently shared how playing for the Black Stars positively changed his life.

He revealed that after participating in the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), he was able to build his own house.

Dauda, who represented Ghana in 26 matches from 2008 to 2015, including the 2013 AFCON and the 2014 FIFA World Cup, spoke about the significant impact of playing for his country.

He mentioned how police officers would salute and greet him on the road because of his association with the national team. Dauda emphasized the importance of passion in achieving success.

After the 2008 AFCON, he was not part of the team for several years. However, the experience motivated him to work harder.

Dauda stressed the importance of perseverance, highlighting his return to the squad for the 2012 and 2013 AFCON qualifiers.

Before becoming a goalkeeper trainer for the Black Stars, Dauda assisted former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah in Sudan. He shared his journey to inspire others, showcasing the opportunities that playing for the national team can bring.
