Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer Reveals Ex Dominic Fike Cheated on Her

Hunter Schafer has publicly addressed her past relationship with Dominic Fike for the first time.

The actress and musician, who were linked from 2022 to 2023, confirmed their split in July last year. In an interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, Schafer revealed that Fike cheated on her.

“It’s part of my truth, but that fundamentally changed me as a person. And it was this whole process of realizing that cheating has nothing to do with you at all,” Schafer told host Alex Cooper.

“And it has everything to do with that person and whatever kind of pain they’re in or whatever they’re dealing with. It’s all of that, but it’s so hard.”

Schafer noted that discussing Fike’s infidelity was acceptable since he had addressed it in his latest album. Despite this, she admitted she’s still processing the breakup.

When asked how she discovered the cheating, Schafer said, “I kind of knew. You always kind of know. And because I knew… I went into his phone.” She added, “I’m not proud of that.”

Schafer described the breakup as amicable and reflected on the relationship’s significance, noting it was her first monogamous relationship with a cisgender man.

“That’s what was so amazing about my last relationship too, that’s kind of what was cool about the public aspect,” she said. “This is a straight guy who is in the music scene, too. And we are in a public relationship. He’s dating a trans woman, and he’s completely straight.”

Previously, Schafer had had queer, polyamorous dating experiences and had thought that monogamous relationships meant “you were cheating on yourself.” However, after her experience with Fike, she said, “Oh, bitch, I get it!”

Currently, Schafer describes herself as “single as fuck” but admits she has a type for musicians.
