Nollywood star Etinosa Idemudia recently shared some valuable advice for her fellow actors, especially those considering participating in podcasts.

Her remarks follow a recent incident involving actress Yvonne Jegede on The Honest Bunch podcast, where Jegede expressed support for Yul Edochie’s marriage decisions and later apologized publicly.

Idemudia cautioned her colleagues against joining podcasts if they are not mentally prepared. She emphasized the importance of choosing words carefully to avoid unintended slip-ups that may necessitate apologies later.

According to her, podcast environments are designed to relax guests, potentially causing them to let down their guard and speak impulsively.

She highlighted the irony that while podcast studios profit from these conversations, guests often receive no financial compensation.

In her own words, Idemudia advised, “If you’re not mentally strong, stay away from any podcast. And if you must go, have a clear plan of what you’ll say to avoid saying something you’ll regret later. These studios are set up to make you feel comfortable, but they’re profiting while you’re not getting paid a dime. It’s important to be cautious.”
