Ten Hag spoke about his new contract, saying he’s happy to continue working with Manchester United. He mentioned that the team has made good progress in the two years he’s been in charge, winning two trophies. However, he also said there’s still a lot of work to do to get the team back to the high level that fans expect.

Before deciding to keep ten Hag, the team’s leaders, including new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, looked at other options. They thought about hiring Thomas Tuchel, Gareth Southgate, or Mauricio Pochettino. In the end, they chose to stick with ten Hag.

Since he started managing Manchester United, ten Hag has done well. His team has won 66 out of 114 games. They’ve also won two important trophies – the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.

This new contract shows that Manchester United believes ten Hag can help the team improve, even though they’ve had some tough times recently. It gives him more time to work on making the team better and trying to win more trophies.
