Eniola Badmus Called Out for Publicly Supporting President Tinubu

Eniola Badmus, a prominent figure in the Nigerian film industry, has found herself at the center of controversy after openly endorsing President Bola Tinubu. 

The actress, known for her unwavering support of the president, has faced a barrage of criticism from the public, particularly in the wake of the current administration’s implementation of harsh economic policies.

In a recent Instagram post, Badmus was seen dancing joyfully in a white outfit, celebrating President Tinubu’s first year in office.

However, her celebratory post was met with a wave of negative comments from critics who reminded her of the significant hardships faced by the public due to the government’s economic decisions. Badmus, who has been a staunch supporter of President Tinubu since his presidential campaign, has faced backlash on multiple occasions for her political stance.

During the 2023 general elections, the actress openly endorsed Tinubu as her preferred candidate and even commenced the distribution of aso ebi (custom cloth) for his swearing-in ceremony.

Despite the ongoing protests across the nation triggered by the economic challenges, Badmus remains steadfast in her support for the president.

In a recent interview, she praised Tinubu’s leadership, stating, “Your dedication and leadership have brought significant progress and hope to our nation. We look forward to continued success and growth under your guidance.”
