South African rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, known in the entertainment industry as AKA has joined the growing list of celebrities to condemn police brutalities against protesters in Nigeria.
In a tweet, the rapper criticized African leaders for their silence on the killing of peaceful protesters in Africa’s most populous country, Nigeria.
AKA explained that most African leaders do not care about the youth because they have passed their prime hence will not live long to bear the brunt of their actions.
AKA’s tweet indicated that “60% of Africa’s population is under 25 years old. The average age of its 10 oldest leaders is 78. The real reason they don’t give a shit about our futures is that they won’t be around to see it.”
