AC Milan are nearing the completion of a deal to sign Tottenham Hotspur 25-year-old Brazilian defender Emerson Royal, as sources have revealed to the public.

Emerson Royal has agreed on personal terms with the Serie A club, and an agreement is expected to be finalized this week.
AC Milan had an initial bid rejected for Emerson Royal several weeks ago, but renewed negotiations have brought the two clubs close to a total agreement.

Tottenham Hostpur had previously declined offers for Emerson Royal in January, but manager Ange Postecoglou has since deemed him surplus to requirements.
Tottenham Hotspur is seeking around £20 million for Emerson Royal, intending to reinvest the funds in a younger player who can develop under Postecoglou’s guidance.
Emerson Royal has 231 career appearances in various leagues and competitions and is quite experienced.
Emerson Royal is quite versatile in his defensive roles and will be very valuable to AC Milan if they acquire his signature.
