In the video, actress Uche Nnanna-Maduka expressed frustration over a power outage at the airport, questioning the state government’s management.
The video also featured several other celebrities including Keppy Ekpenyong, Gloria Nobert Young, Grace Amah, and Fred Amata.
Reacting to the criticism, Oguwuike Nwachuku, the governor’s chief press secretary, responded with a statement suggesting that Nnanna-Maduka was hired to undermine Governor Uzodinma’s administration.
In response to the situation, Ejike Asiegbu issued a public apology on behalf of his colleagues in a statement released on Thursday. He described Nwachuku’s remarks as unprofessional and unwarranted.

“I most respectfully apologize on behalf of my colleague Uche Nnanna-Maduka to my brother, friend, elder statesman, and governor, Chief Dr. Hope Uzodinma for any embarrassment caused by the recent video.
“Let me state unequivocally that we uphold honor and integrity in our actions. We are not influenced by any form of inducement, as Mr. Oguwuike has alleged,” Asiegbu stated.
The apology underscores the importance of mutual respect and responsible communication in public discourse, especially concerning matters of governance and public service.
Governor Hope Uzodinma’s office has not yet publicly responded to Asiegbu’s apology or the criticism raised in the video.
