A group pretending to be staff from the State House in Abuja has been caught by the EFCC for trying to trick people and offering fake jobs. Dele Oyewale, who speaks for the EFCC, shared this news on Saturday.

He explained that they caught the group after looking into complaints from people who were fooled into thinking they were getting jobs at different government places. The group lied, saying they could get people high-level jobs at places like the Ministry of Communication and the NNPCL.

The main people in this group are Augustine Umogboi, who said he used to work at the State House, Eleojo Idakwo, who pretended to be from the Ministry of Information, and Kingsley Onuh, who claimed he just finished his national service.
There are also two others, Omata Sunday and a company called Eljayon Nigeria Limited, which they used to take money from people.
They tricked people into sending them a total of N22,350,000 through different bank accounts. Umogboi was caught on June 16, Idakwo on April 30, 2024, and Onuh on April 3.
People who lost their money told their sad stories to the EFCC. The group has shared important information with the EFCC and will be taken to court after the investigation is done.
