This comes after former GIMPA Rector Professor Stephen Adei claimed the current situation isn’t as bad as before.

In an interview, Mrs. Mould-Iddrisu shared her worries about the inconsistent power supply, especially in the Ashanti Region.

She compared the current power outages, exacerbated by the renaming of the Ameri plant, to the term “dumsor,” a term Ghanaians use for erratic power supply. She emphasized that even during their time, the power situation wasn’t as dire.

Her remarks indicate growing dissatisfaction with the current government’s handling of the power crisis.

The challenges faced in the Ashanti Region seem to be a focal point, with residents feeling the brunt of the outages.

Mrs. Mould-Iddrisu’s comments add to the ongoing debate about the management of the power crisis.

With differing opinions from key figures, it’s evident that finding a solution to Ghana’s power woes remains a pressing issue for the government and citizens alike.
