Dr Tumi, born Tumisang Makweya is an accomplished medical doctor and a musician having studied medicine at the Medical University of Southern Africa for six years.

Dr Tumi was born in Seshego-B, Polokwane in South Africa on July 10, 1981.
Despite Dr Tumi’s success in the music industry, he will never forsake his duties as a medical doctor especially in these times of coronavirus.
He has made an appearance in a singing competition, Coca-Cola Popstars, in 2003 after making the Top 20.
A few years later, Dr Tumi became a member of the award-winning gospel group, Intense and later decided to go solo after some time. He has won many awards and sold scores of records.

Dr Tumi married Kgaogelo Makweya in a beautiful wedding ceremony. Kgaogelo plays an important role in her husband’s music career. She is his manager and also owns her own marketing company, Ekse Hello.
