Dr Bawumia, the current Vice-President of Ghana and the current flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, has offered support to the fire victims of the Madina market fire outbreak after paying them a visit on Friday, April 19, 2024.

Dr Bawumia visited the La Nkwantanang- Madina Municipality in the Greater Accra Region to commiserate with the traders who were affected by the fire outbreak at the busy market.
Reports indicate that Dr Bawumia provided a financial support of GH¢200, 000 to the victims of the fire outbreak totaling over 100.

In addition to this financial support, Dr Bawumia revealed that these affected traders would be receiving suport from the Women’s Empowerment Fund of the Ghana Enterprises Agency.
Dr Bawumia added that the shops that were engulfed by the fire would be built in due time and handed over to the affected traders.
In conclusion, Dr Bawumia gave a piece of advice to all traders gathered there to make sure they buy into fire insurances so that they might not lose entirely when the something of this sort happens.
