Popular On-Air Personality (OAP) Dotun recently found himself in the spotlight after he stopped a DJ from playing any of veteran musician D’banj’s songs at his birthday party. The incident sparked controversy, but Dotun has now spoken out, shedding light on his actions.

The backstory involves a custody dispute with his wife, Taiwo Oyebanjo, who happens to be D’banj’s sister. Dotun accused her of supporting his sister and pressuring her to keep their kids away from him. Amidst this family drama, Dotun made a bold move at his own celebration.
Taking to social media, Dotun clarified that it was his birthday party, and the music group Alternate Sound was performing. He loves them, but he needed to be honest. It was his party, and he had the right to dictate the playlist.
Dotun’s daughter, Fife, turned 10 that day. While it should have been a joyous occasion, he couldn’t be there to share the moment. Imagine the emotions he felt, and then someone played what he considered “trash” at his party. He didn’t care if people criticized him; he wouldn’t pander to their feelings.
Dotun emphasized that when he considers someone an enemy, it’s a full-time commitment. He wouldn’t compromise his stance. If you touch something that belongs to him, lie about it, or contribute to something negative, you become his enemy.
