Prophet Isaac Appiah, also known as Prophet Azuka, from the Shining Grace Chapel International, has highlighted the positive impact of the public disagreement between Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Dormaahene Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyemang Badu II on the Asante people.

According to Prophet Azuka, Dormaahene’s public criticisms of Otumfuo have compelled the Asantehene to take his responsibilities more seriously, ultimately benefiting the populace.

He noted that Otumfuo has taken decisive actions such as removing subchiefs who did not meet expected standards, thereby demonstrating the kingdom’s authority and importance.

In a video shared on Express GH TV’s YouTube channel, Prophet Azuka praised the increased dynamism of the Ashanti Kingdom under Otumfuo’s leadership, which he attributed to the challenges posed by Dormaahene.

“Since ascending the throne, Otumfuo has faced little opposition. The challenges brought by Dormaahene have pushed our king to be more serious. He has taken steps to remove rebellious subchiefs and address illegal land disputes,” Prophet Azuka explained.

He further emphasized the significance of seeking resolution at the palace in cases of land disputes, attributing this to Dormaahene’s influence in enhancing the prestige of Ashanti rule.

Earlier, Dormaahene accused Otumfuo of exacerbating the Sampa chieftaincy dispute, alleging that his involvement challenged both the legal system and traditional Bono chiefs who historically managed such issues.

During Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia’s visit to the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, Dormaahene presented these accusations, squarely blaming Otumfuo for the ongoing Sampa conflict.

The public discord between Otumfuo and Dormaahene has thus sparked discussions about traditional leadership dynamics within the Ashanti Kingdom, highlighting the impact of internal challenges on governance and public perception.
