Recent research work proves that ovarian endometriosis can negatively affect ovulation and the number of mature eggs that can be fertilized. However, even with severe endometriosis, natural conception is still possible.

It is estimated that 60-70% of women living with endometriosis can get pregnant spontaneously. Women with endometriosis may have scar tissue or adhesions that can block the fallopian tubes, preventing the egg from being fertilized.

Endometriosis can equally affect the quality of the eggs or sperm, making it more difficult for them to meet and fertilize. Inflammation and hormonal imbalances caused by the disease can interfere with ovulation.
While most women with mild endometriosis are able to conceive naturally, others may need fertility treatments such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intrauterine insemination (IUI) to increase their chances of getting pregnant.
Endometriosis affects around 10% of women of reproductive age, and it can cause a range of symptoms such as pelvic pain, painful periods, pain during sex, infertility, and fatigue.
