On the T-Mobile network, the United States’ Mint Mobile, LLC operates a mobile virtual network. It needs prepayment for at least three months of service and, barring a trial period, the purchase of a physical SIM card or an electronic SIM card online. David Glickman, who also founded Ultra Mobile, and Rizwan Kassim established the business in 2015 as Mint SIM, a division of Ultra Mobile.

The corporate spin-off of the business from Ultra Mobile was finished in November 2019, and Ryan Reynolds bought a 20% to 25% ownership position in the business. Glickman, the company’s founder, and Reynolds both served on the board of the Michael J. Fox Foundation, and Glickman was pleased with the way Reynolds handled Deadpool’s marketing.

Did Ryan Reynolds sell mint? Who owns Mint Mobile now?
So many of us are now wondering if Ryan Reynolds actually owns Mint Mobile. The answer is, sort of, yes. To be more exact, the actor made a widely publicized purchase of a portion of the popular prepaid carrier back in 2019 that caused some controversy.
So, Ryan Reynolds is at least a significant participant and stakeholder in the business and not merely the ‘public face’ who occasionally appears in one of the company’s increasingly ornate and outrageous commercials. As you might expect, the company didn’t begin with him alone, and there are many more power players in the background, especially given that Mint Mobile’s roots are in a different prepaid carrier entirely.
