He was known for his straight-shooting style and prominent sense of humor.
Bragg, who was first elected with the Liberals in 2015, held several portfolios after being named to cabinet in 2019, with the last one being fisheries, forestry, and agriculture.
He was described as a devoted father and was appreciated on both sides of the legislature for being witty and down to earth.
Before entering provincial politics, he worked as a town clerk and manager and also served many years as a volunteer fire chief.
