D’banj and Don Jazzy Spark Nostalgia in Announcement Video for ‘Entertainer 2.0’

• Album Announcement: D’banj announces his upcoming fifth album, Entertainer – The Sequel, a follow-up to his acclaimed 2008 album, featuring a blend of global and Nigerian music stars.

• New Single and Tour: Ahead of the album release, D’banj has dropped a new single, “Worthy,” and will embark on a global tour in partnership with The Temple Company.

D’banj has revealed his plans for Entertainer – The Sequel, the highly anticipated follow-up to his iconic 2008 album, The Entertainer.

The announcement was made through a video featuring actor Gideon Okeke and a cameo by Don Jazzy, D’banj’s long-time collaborator and co-founder of Mo’hits.

The forthcoming album is set to build on the success of its predecessor with a dynamic lineup of global and Nigerian music stars.

Notable international artists featured on the album include Grammy winner Wyclef Jean, Congolese legend Awilo Logomba, Senegalese icon Youssou N’Dour,

American superstar Akon, South African DJ Maphorisa, and NBC’s The Voice sensation Chechi Sarai. Nigerian talents such as Phyno, Timaya, Kayswitch, Zlatan, Peruzzi, Bhadboi Oml, and Chuchu Lee will also be part of the album.

To give fans a taste of what’s to come, D’banj has released a new single titled “Worthy,” featuring Youssou N’Dour and Chechi Sarai, which dropped on July 19.

Reflecting on the project, D’banj expressed his enthusiasm: “Life is a maze of self-discovery and my new album, Entertainer – The Sequel confirms this truth to me. It’s a true reflection of my growth as an artist and my continued commitment to pushing the boundaries of African music. The past 20 years have been an incredible ride, and I am grateful for the support and love I have received. I am thrilled to share this new chapter in my musical journey with my fans.”

Following the album’s release, D’banj will embark on a global tour in collaboration with The Temple Company, bringing his new music to major cities around the world.
