David So (formerly known as DavidSoComedy) was born on March 30, 1987, in Seoul, South Korea. Not much is known about his family life, parents, and siblings, however, he has an older brother and his father is a pastor.

David So and his family relocated to the United States of America when he was very young. He spent most of his life in California where he grew up working at his parents’ African American beauty supply store in Sacramento.
As per his educational background, David So attended Florin High School. He later enrolled at the University of California, Riverside (UCR), where he studied for a few days before he got transferred to California State University, Sacramento.

However, David So eventually dropped out of college in order to pursue his comedy and acting career. He started his career as a stand-up comedian when he was only 16 years and had performed throughout northern California.
David So created his first YouTube channel, DavidSoMusic on October 3, 2010, where he posting his music videos. In January 2011, he created another YouTube channel named ‘DavidSoComedy,’ where he uploaded his comedy skits.
