David L. Cunningham, born on February 24, 1971, in Switzerland, is a celebrated international filmmaker whose creative journey has spanned across continents and genres.

While his documentary credits have taken him to over 40 countries, he has also directed notable feature films, including “To End All Wars” (2001) and the TV miniseries “The Path to 9/11” (2006). Represented by the United Talent Agency, David’s artistic prowess knows no bounds.

As the son of renowned missionaries late Loren Cunningham and Darlene Cunningham, founders of Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and the University of the Nations, David’s upbringing was steeped in a rich spiritual and creative atmosphere.

He pursued his passion for filmmaking, studying at both the University of Southern California and the University of the Nations.

David Cunningham’s cinematic journey has taken him to remote corners of the world, from the Pitcairn Islands to Egypt, Australia, and Hollywood, California. His debut feature film, “Beyond Paradise,” achieved critical and commercial success in the Pacific Region, playing for three months in Hawaiian theaters.

In a remarkable display of support, Youth With A Mission students contributed $14,000 as seed money for David’s independent film “To End All Wars,” a poignant WWII narrative shot in Hawaii, Thailand, and Scotland.

This film, starring Kiefer Sutherland and Robert Carlyle, garnered acclaim at prestigious film festivals, including Telluride, Toronto, Heartland, Hawaii, and Mill Valley. It was later picked up for distribution by Goldcrest and 20th Century Fox.

David Cunningham’s filmmaking journey continues to evolve, encompassing diverse projects like “The Path to 9/11” and the intriguing “After…” shot in the secret tunnels beneath Moscow’s Red Square, a testament to his boundless creativity and commitment to storytelling.
