David De Gea Reveals Retirement Was Never An Option After Leaving Man United

Former Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea has revealed that retirement was never on his mind after leaving Old Trafford.

In an interview, David De Gea opened up about the challenges he faced in finding motivation for a new chapter after spending 12 years at one of the world’s top clubs.

“Man United is a top, top club and my heart will always be there. I never thought about retiring, it was just difficult to find motivation for a new chapter after 12 years at a top club like Man United,” De Gea said.

David De Gea has since found that motivation at Fiorentina in the Italian Serie A, where he has joined to continue his football career.

Many football lovers know David De Gea to be one of the top goalkeepers in this era of football but due to wage demands, it took him over a year to find a new team.
