Regha’s remarks followed Burna Boy’s reaction to the announcement of the new Miss South Africa, which came after Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina’s withdrawal from the competition.

Regha pointed out on the X platform that the victory of a deaf contestant as Miss South Africa represents a significant step towards inclusivity.

He emphasized that while Chidimma’s situation is unfortunate, mocking Mia, the new winner, based on her skin color is hypocritical and racist.

Regha highlighted the need to address racism and emphasized that Africans should support each other instead of contributing to divisions within the continent.

He expressed frustration over the internal conflicts, xenophobia, and tribalism that continue to affect Africa, stressing that these issues undermine the unity and progress of the continent.

Miss South Africa 2024, Mia, won the title as the first deaf contestant to achieve this honor, marking a significant step towards inclusivity.
