Curtis Jones, who picked up a knock in an earlier game against Real Betis, seemed slightly annoyed by the early substitution. However, he clarified to LFCTV that he is “100 percent” fit and ready for the Premier League opener.
Curtis Jones revealed that Slot withdrew him as a precaution after he took a knock to the head moments earlier.
“I think I could’ve played the whole game, but I got a whack in the back of my head,” Jones explained. “Slot said it was more of a precautionary thing; we don’t need to risk anything.”
