Crystal Palace have secured their first summer signing by bringing in 20-year-old defender Moroccan defender Chadi Riad for a deal worth £12 million, with an additional £2 million in potential add-ons.

Chadi Riad, who initially joined Real Betis on loan from Barcelona last summer before making the move permanent, has now joined Crystal Palace on a 5-year-contract that runs until June 2029.

Chadi Riad had an impressive campaign with Real Betis, making 30 appearances across all competitions and playing a pivotal role in helping the team secure a seventh-place finish in La Liga.
