The midfielder collapsed near the end of the first half during his country’s opening match with Finland in Copenhagen. Teammates of the Inter Milan and former Spurs player were in tears as medical staff tried to resuscitate him on the touchline.

Football stars across the world and fans have shown much love to the player and wish him well. Cristiano Ronaldo on Facebook wrote “Our thoughts and prayers are with Christian Eriksen and his family. The world of football stands together hoping for good news. I’m counting on finding you soon back on the pitch, Chris! Stay strong!”
Meanwhile, Uefa has announced that Christian Eriksen is stabilised at the hospital and also further communication about the suspended match will be made at 17:45 CET.
