Can I create Apple ID with Gmail?

An Apple ID can be created with Gmail.

This is because the Apple ID is designed such that any email address can be used for it.

More so, you can even change an existing Apple ID from one third-party address to another, like from @hotmail.com to @gmail.com.

However, if your existing Apple ID is an @icloud.com, @mac.com or @me.com address, you can’t change it to a third-party one.
