At 20 years old, Gauff is making her Olympic debut in Paris after missing the Tokyo Games due to a COVID-19 diagnosis.

She joins a strong Team USA lineup, including fellow tennis stars Jessica Pegula, Danielle Collins, and Emma Navarro in women’s singles, as well as Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Chris Eubanks, and Marcos Giron in men’s singles.

Gauff, ranked No. 2 in the world, is a medal hopeful at the French Open venue, Roland-Garros, and is also expected to compete strongly in doubles.
