Cindy Morgan, a familiar face to many in the stateline region as a former WIFR/WCEE weather anchor, has passed away at the age of 69.

TMZ reports that on December 30, the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office responded to a call from Morgan’s Lake Worth Beach residence after her roommate expressed concern about a strong odor emanating from inside. Subsequently, Morgan was discovered deceased in her room.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office has officially confirmed that Morgan’s passing was a result of natural causes.

Morgan, recognized for her notable roles in “Caddyshack” and “Tron,” as well as numerous appearances on television shows such as “CHiPS,” “The Fall Guy,” and “The Love Boat,” left an indelible mark in the entertainment industry.
Before achieving recognition in classic films, she earned a degree in communications from Northern Illinois University. Her career began with weather reporting for WIFR. In 2007, she returned to Rockford to headline the Rockford Golf Hall of Fame induction ceremonies.
