The club is in search of a coach who is energetic and innovative, and who shares the club’s vision for the future. The ideal candidate would also bring a wealth of experience from coaching in the top tiers of English football.

According to Sky Sports, De Zerbi is a top pick, especially after his recent departure from Brighton, where he led the team to European competition.

Frank has also made a strong impression by establishing Brentford as a consistent team in the Premier League. Both Maresca and McKenna have had triumphant seasons, with their teams, Leicester and Ipswich, earning promotions to the Premier League.
Xavi Hernandez was considered a possibility for the position, but Chelsea has decided not to pursue him following his exit from Barcelona. The club is determined to appoint a coach who has a track record of success and familiarity with English football.
Brighton and Manchester United are also reportedly interested in McKenna, viewing him as a potential successor to Erik ten Hag if he leaves this summer.
