Chelsea seems to have found an answer to their search for a new main striker. They have decided not to pursue Napoli’s Victor Osimhen. Instead, Lois Openda from RB Leipzig has become a strong option for them this summer.

The team is eager to improve their forwards and had shown interest in Osimhen from Napoli. But the new coach, Enzo Maresca, along with the club’s decision-makers, felt he was too costly and started looking at other players.

Now, it’s reported by TEAMTALK that Chelsea has set their sights on Openda and is ready to discuss a potential transfer with Leipzig. The deal might be worth about 70 million Euros.
Last season, the 24-year-old scored 28 goals for Leipzig in all competitions and was key in their two-striker formation, which also featured Benjmin Sesko.
At the same time, Chelsea is still negotiating for Jhon Duran from Aston Villa and is hoping to finalize the deal quickly before the pre-season starts.
