Chelsea officially sought permission on Wednesday afternoon to enter into talks with Michael Olise’s representatives, aiming to reach an agreement on personal terms.
This move follows earlier advice that interested parties should first negotiate with Palace before engaging directly with Olise.

Alongside Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Newcastle United have also made inquiries to Crystal Palace, underlining the widespread interest in the Michael Olise.
Meanwhile, Manchester United and Manchester City continue to monitor the situation closely, reflecting their enduring interest in securing Olise’s services.
Last summer, Michael Olise came close to joining Chelsea but opted to remain at Selhurst Park, where he subsequently signed a lucrative four-year contract extension.
This deal elevated Michael Olise to one of Palace’s highest earners and included an increased release clause, reported to be around £60 million.
